Pupusas y tacos: un asunto callejero
I co-wrote with Evert Cordova and directed a 40 minute comedic play. After an increasing number of violent police raids against food vendors in MacArthur Park, a pair of star-crossed vendors ("el taquero" y "la pupusera") join forces with the local community to stop the police. It was produced by Night of Cultura in May 2016 at Northwest Auditorium at UCLA. <https://youtu.be/3s32x6TPsDk?t=1h25m51s>.
I wrote and directed a 15 minute monologue titled 1932 that tells the story of a woman who comes home during La Matanza, the genocide of indigenous peoples in western El Salvador in 1932. It was produced by Night of Cultura in May 2015 at Northwest Auditorium at UCLA. You can watch it on Night of Cultura's YouTube account: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP_87sTfEhc>.
